Who we are
Blankenship is more of a traditional country church. We welcome visitors with open arms. So, come as you are. Formal attire is not required; coveralls and jeans are welcome.
Our services consist of an extended meet and greet, hymns from the United Methodist Hymnal, and a song of special music. Children remain with their families for the service, which includes a special children's segment. The sermon ranges from 20 to 25 minutes, and afterwards there is Sunday school for adults, teens, and children. On the first Sunday of the month, we offer communion, more commonly known as the Lord’s Supper, for all in attendance.
As a community church, we offer a monthly community breakfast, collect donations for Haven of Home for the victims of domestic violence, serve monthly at the Journey Hope soup kitchen in Murfreesboro, and we are also support the Journey of Hope food pantry in Bell Buckle.
We also host many events that are open to the community, such as an annual Easter egg hunt, potluck, cookout, trunk or treat, hayride, and the Walk through Bethlehem.
